Does it Apply to You?
The Worker Protection Standard only applies in agricultural production areas where WPS-labeled pesticides were used in the last 30 days (or so)... and it only applies to workers doing activities related to production of the crop. This is complex! Let us take you through it, step-by-step.

Resource Type Inventories
This is a collection of educational resources to help people on farms, orchards, forests, and other agricultural establishments comply with the Worker Protection Standard (WPS). It was produced by the Pesticide Educational Resources Collaborative (PERC) in collaboration with the US EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs. The material and content has been reviewed by federal regulators, farmworker advocacy organizations, university experts, and state agriculture officials. However, users are cautioned not to rely on any one resource for compliance information. Please refer to the official "How-to-Comply" Manual, and contact your state regulatory agency with questions.
WPS Training Materials
PERC is currently funded from 2016-2026 to coordinate the development of pesticide-related educational resources that meet national needs.
The PERC Advisory Board meets annually to determine priority needs, and monthly to hear from representatives.
WPS Dictionary and Definitions
Workers must be trained under the WPS, but how do you define "worker?" Find legal definitions on the right. On the left, the same terms are explained in non-legal language, in English and Spanish.
Bilingual Dictionary of Terms
The PERC team developed a bilingual dictionary of terms related to the WPS. What does it mean? What does it mean in Spanish? Meaning for meaning, not word for word.
What are the legal definitions of terms in the WPS? What does the Code of Federal Regulations (40 CFR Part 170) say?
This collection of original content was developed in 2019 by PERC by dozens of contributors and reviewers. Click below for a complete list of collaborators and citation instructions.
